Resident Evil Requiem Ending Explained

Your choices at Rhodes Hill determine who lives, who dies, and what horror escapes into the world.

How Endings Work

Resident Evil Requiem features multiple endings based on two key factors:

  • Emily's survival — whether you keep Emily alive through the research wing.
  • The Elpis choice — whether you release or destroy Elena / Elpis in the final act.

Standard Ending

Condition:

Complete the game without meeting Emily/Elpis save conditions.

Outcome:

The story resolves with the outbreak contained, but the mysteries of Elpis remain unanswered.

Save Emily Ending

Condition:

Keep Emily alive through the story and protect her during the research wing.

Outcome:

Emily survives and escapes with Grace and Leon. This unlocks additional post-credits dialogue.

Release Elpis Ending

Condition:

Choose to release Elena / Elpis at the final decision point.

Outcome:

Elpis is freed, potentially triggering a new bioterror threat beyond Rhodes Hill.

Destroy Elpis Ending

Condition:

Choose to destroy Elena / Elpis at the final decision point.

Outcome:

The Elpis threat is terminated, but the facility suffers catastrophic collapse.

Recommended First Playthrough

For the most complete narrative experience, aim to save Emily and choose carefully regarding Elpis. Save before the final choice if you want to see multiple endings without replaying the entire game.
